Halloween Safety TipsHalloween is fast approaching. Soon little Darth Vaders, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Disney princesses, witches, and probably still some Frozen characters, will be running around neighborhoods and collecting candy. At Gibson, our mission is to protect what matters most. And this Halloween, we want to help you protect the kids, grandkids, nieces, and nephews in your lives as they head out to enjoy the festivities.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention offers trick-or-treating safety tips - check out the infographic below to keep your little monsters, ghosts, and superheroes safe.

Looking for additional tips? Here are some resources to consider:

  • There is generally a spike in fires around the end of October. Jack-o-lanterns, candles, decorations, costumes - they can all pose risks. Click here to view the National Fire Protection Association's resources on Halloween fire safety.
  • With all the people out on Halloween, there are risks of vandalism and injuries on your property. The Insurance Information Institute offers their thoughts on these concerns in this blog.
  • Don’t forget about food safety! On their blog, the FDA discusses how to keep Halloween treats safe, not scary.

Be safe this Halloween!
