Jim brings experience spanning newspaper publishing, healthcare & marketing, financial coaching, and numerous board roles. Jim currently serves as President & Founder of Venture Advisory Group. Jim has a passion for helping people to succeed, grow, and prosper in their personal and professional journeys.
In addition to serving on Gibson's Michigan Marketplace Board of Advisors (MI MBOA), Jim currently serves as board member for Heritage Community Foundation and Veteran’s support group at the Portage Community Center, independent board member for a specialty pharmacy provider, and pro-bono executive advisor for both startups and non-profits in Southwest Michigan. From 2018-2021, he was the co-chair of the Portage Community Senior Center capital campaign, successfully raising $10M for the center’s construction.
