SOUTH BEND/PLYMOUTH/INDIANAPOLIS/FORT WAYNE, INDIANA – 09/03/15 – David Walters, Risk Advisor at Gibson, has been named to Insurance Business America’s annual Young Guns report, a list recognizing young professionals who have made a difference in the insurance industry.
“David is one of Gibson’s brightest stars. His work with local nonprofits is establishing his role as one of our community’s finest servant leaders.” said Jerry Scott, Chief Operating Officer of Gibson. “David was a Gongaware Scholar and top graduate from Indiana State’s Insurance and Risk Management program.”
The annual Young Guns report includes 42 insurance professionals aged 35 and younger. Recipients were chosen based on nominations by their peers and industry leaders.
Walters joined Gibson in 2011 and specializes in the health and human services niche. Honored as a member of the 2015 Michiana Forty Under 40 Class, Walters has held numerous leadership roles in community organizations including sitting on the advisory council for the Young Professionals Network of South Bend/Mishawaka, Chairman for the Northern Indiana Workforce Board, and mentor of the Insurance and Risk Management program at Indiana State University.
