Scaling Tall Buildings To Raise Awareness For The Food Bank Of Northern Indiana

SOUTH BEND, PLYMOUTH, INDIANAPOLIS, FORT WAYNE, INDIANA – 12/05/14 – Gibson has teamed up with local companies to raise awareness and food for the Food Bank of Northern Indiana.

To cap off a month of collecting food and funds, resulting in over 50,000 pounds, the Gibson Superheroes will be scaling their headquarters in downtown South Bend on Friday, December 12th, 2014 at 10:00am. The 4-story challenge will take place outside 130 S. Main Street, South Bend, IN 466011 – a feat to demonstrate the plight to annihilate hunger.

Along with a visit from the Gibson Superheroes, the real heroes from the Food Bank will be present in addition to many representatives from the food drive partners2.

“We are truly humbled by Gibson’s generous support of our mission to feed the hungry,” said Marijo Martinec, Associate Director at the Food Bank of Northern Indiana. “They have helped make our community a special place to work and live.”

The Food Bank of Northern Indiana serves Elkhart, LaPorte, Kosciusko, Marshall, Starke, and St. Joseph Counties. In 2013, the Food Bank of Northern Indiana distributed 6 million pounds of food to its 170 member agencies.

“The Food Bank is doing great work to help those in need,” said Tim Leman, Chairman & CEO at Gibson. “We are proud to support this organization and others in the communities we serve.”
